Friday was the last day @CapMacDC, one of my favorite food trucks, was on the road! So, of course I had make sure I made it to #FarragutFriday to get my last taste!
Whelp the window is open at Farragut. Today it ends where it started.

Here is a photo of the deliciousness:
Original Photo can be found on Instagram
I got the MarcoBolo:
House ground beef brisket simmered for hours with red wine, tomatoes, and fresh herbs. Finished with a splash of cream and a sprinkle of Parm. Served with Cavatappi pasta.
Ben got the Chicken Parm Meatballs:
Chicken meatballs infused with fresh herbs, shallots & parmesan cheese, topped with Vicky’s bechamel. Served over cavatappi.
It was quite bittersweet . . . as of course I wish them all the best in their future endeavors, but I’ll miss their delicious Mac & Cheese. They were one of the first food trucks in DC, and helped to create and sustain the amazing food truck culture we have today!
I first heard the news from DCist on twitter:
Pour one out for CapMac. The popular food truck's last day is Friday. http://t.co/UI0MQe1OXB

Then my friend Emily tweeted something from CityPaper:
Bummer! @CapMacDC Food Truck Calls It Quits http://t.co/55tcN049e0 #foodtruck cc: @TamaraSymonds

And the GW Hatchet tweeted a story about what’s to come in the future from CapMacDC:

^^ You’re welcome – we love you too! 🙂
My only consolation with the closing of CapMacDC is that they posted how to make mac n' cheese on eHow @capmacdc https://t.co/iLf8gCGtTM
