Birthday Brunch at Co Co. Sala

I do indeed think I had one of theee most wonderful birthday weekends of my life!! 🙂

My actual birthday (July 6th) was yesterday, a Saturday, but the celebrating started on Friday when my boyfriend Ben and I went to Kings Dominion (the amusement park) for the day in Northern Virginia).

Then on Saturday night we went to dinner at Busboys with my family (all of them – parents, sister, Grammy & Marty, aunt/uncle/cousins). Then of course, we went to my Grandma’s where my Carvel cake was waiting for me . . . after all, I don’t think I’ve gone a year without it since I was a little kid {except for a few perhaps}! 🙂

This morning Ben took me out for the most deliciously wonderful and chocolately brunch at Co Co. Sala downtown – OMGs amazings!

I ordered the French Toast S’mores – cinnamon brioche stuffed with house-made marshmallow, dark chocolate, and graham shortbread // warm banana compote // milk chocolate mousse – photo below:

Ben got the Cheese Magic – twice baked upside down cheese soufflé // leek sauce // tomato marmelade // blue cheese pear salad with walnuts, cranberries, & honey balsamic vinaigrette – photo below:

Ben also got a side of the scrambled eggs in a beautiful circular shape that tasted divine! (We shared some of that one!)

I also got English Breakfast Tea and Ben got coffee — which both came in their own individual french presses!! How cool is that?!
