Ok – double post today! But, this morning we went to the most amazing brunch of my life ever (maybe just thus far 🙂 at Le Diplomate in Logan Circle. I have been waiting and waiting for this place to open and when I saw that the ladies over at Bitches who Brunch had reviewed it and given it an A I was so excited to try it!
Ben and I had been craving seafood lately, so we decided to go out to Grillfish (an Eatwell DC reataurant) in Dupont for dinner last night. We were not disappointed, to say the least . . . the food was stellar and the service was great! And bonus — because it was a nice night, we got to sit outside on their patio and people watch 🙂
I do indeed think I had one of theee most wonderful birthday weekends of my life!! 🙂 My actual birthday (July 6th) was yesterday, a Saturday, but the celebrating started on Friday with a trip to Kings Dominion and continued this morning with Sunday brunch at Co Co. Sala . . .
I made these decadent rich and gooey chocolate cream cheese cupcakes. Here is the recipe I used! [. . .]
On Friday Ben and I went to Truckeroo for the first time — and it was AMAZING!! I had heard about it ages ago, and have really, really been wanting to try it. It was most definitely a food truck bonanza!
Last Saturday I had some truly great mexican food and margaritas! at El Centro D.F., a Taqueria & Tequileria on 14th Street (near U Street) . . .
This morning the boyfriend and I decided to go to brunch at The Original Pancake House in Bethesda. We got there around noon, and my-oh-my was it busy! But, that’s generally a good sign — a popular place usually means the food is tasty! . . .
