Hey there, my name is Tamara. Welcome to my little slice of the blogosphere! 😉
First – a little bit of history: I started this blog back in May 2010. Back then it was attached to my professional portfolio website, but sometime between 2010 and 2012 I moved it here — to its own site — and came up with the name Creative & Curly. I’ve changed the design a few times , and even changed the name (!) — if you recall this very blog used to go by “Creative & Curly” once upon a time — but hopefully I’ll stay with this one for a while.
As for me, I am recently
engaged married to a great guy named Ben and together we live a short metro outside D.C. By day I am a non-profit digital communications professional (a.k.a. web developer / website manager).
When not working, my passions include good food (both cooking and eating it), *I have to give a special shout out here to chocolate, coffee and craft beer, three of my loves, DIYing it (I love to crochet, dabble in graphic design, paint crafts), and advocating for social justice. I am a dog person through & through. I grew up with a red short-haired dachshund, and one day want a dog of my own. But until I have the time and a living space that will allow dogs, I’ll have to wait.
I have a life-long love for figure skating . . . I started taking lessons after school & on weekends when I was 8 years old and continued all the way through high school. . . it’s one of my most favorite childhood memories! There’s so much to say on this — I could write an entire post on it! So I guess more on that another time.
I hope to create a positive space here at on my blog, writing about all of the things I love to ramble on about (food, coffee, chocolate, craft beer, DIYing it, crocheting, crafting, social justice) in addition to touching on beauty, friendship, pop culture, pets, tv & movies, books, and whatever else strikes my fancy. I hope you’ll sit back (yep, YOU!) and stay a while.
I think that’s all for now… And if you didn’t click on the link above, you should read my 1st post if you want to know some more stuff about me.
